This Product Designer I will focus on working with members of the Inspire Brands User Experience Research & Design team, as well as other stakeholders. Contributions will consist of individual and team efforts.The Inspire Brands User Experience Research & Design team designs web and app experiences for our brands. We are looking for a Product Designer I with passion and experience designing e-commerce experiences that are simple, usable, and desirable for our users.Our culture fosters an empowering environment for designers who want to embrace a range of product design challenges. The Product Designer I will actively design experiences for our brands' customers and franchisees and help evolve our unified design system. Our designers translate business goals into digital experiences in collaboration with other teams including Brand, Product Management, Engineering and Performance Analytics. Individual responsibility is very high, and impact and reward are huge.The UX Research & Design team at Inspire Brands is a centralized team with designers working in an agile environment as part of multi-disciplinary scrum teams to design and develop prioritized features from our product roadmap.This position is required onsite 4 days per week, typically Monday- Thursday.RESPONSIBILITIESDesign System Engineering: Bridge the Figma multi-brand design system and the Engineering design system for consumption by humans and AI tools to facilitate prototype and code generated screen designs Experimentation Mindset: Identify opportunities to test hypotheses and support testing with different design options to collect user feedback. Generating Early Design Concepts: Sketch, wireframe, and prototype product experiments. Collaborate with engineers to investigate concept feasibility. Continuous Iteration and Refinement: Advocate for and initiate product iteration to improve shipped work. Evaluate new insights and iterate rapidly. Team Involvement and Participation: Collaborative work with the rest of the UX team – critiques, design jams, group learning, contributing to the design system. EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONSMinimum: 4 yr degreeDegree programs may include: Design, Computer Science, Software Design, Digital Media, Social Science, Engineering or otherPreferred: MastersDegree programs may include: User Experience (UX) Design, Computational Media, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Service Design, Design Management or other.EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONMinimum: 1+ years of UX design experience + multi-brand design system engineering experience1+ years of experience in UX design and Product design, must include multi-brand design system engineering experience and may also include product thinking, e-commerce design, interaction design, information architecture, design researchREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES1+ years of experience in UX design and Product design, must include multi-brand design system engineering experience and may also include product thinking, e-commerce design, interaction design, information architecture, mobile-first web and app responsive design, design research. This is not a graphic design / visual design role. Working style: Solve more complex design problems at the charter/capability level (e.g., overall shopping experience). Able to manage multiple projects at a time. Being self-directed, organized, and efficient is key. Contribution level: Makes specific contributions as assigned by others and as identified on their own. Cross-functional influence: Frequently contributes to the meeting. May drive sections or topics during the meeting (usually internal meeting). Process contribution: Consistently works within established processes, often identifies/contributes improvements to those processes. Meeting facilitation: Facilitates individuals and small groups with minimal oversight and guidance. Can plan and execute interviews and/or meetings as part of a group. Presentation requirements: Responsible for presenting own ideas and work to small-to-mid size audiences (team level and department level). User advocacy: Responsible for understanding, documenting and communicating customer needs. Business representation: Capable of understanding business needs and thoughtfully balancing those with identified customer needs. An effective communicator. Contributes to knowledge of industry, competitive, comparative, complementary products. Ability to defend design recommendations. Delivers results in an agile, iterative design environment. Proficient in modern UX design tools like Figma Nice to have: Experience with one or more of the following user research, usability testing, accessible design and design systems, big screen design including kiosk and in-store displays.
