Starting Hourly Rate: $16.25 USD per hour

As a Guest Advocate, you will:

• Communicate and interact with guests to build a welcoming guest experience
• Blend problem solving and decision making to positively impact the guest experience and resolve guest concerns
• Adapt to different guest interactions and situations
• Promote and engage around various benefits, offerings, and services

A typical day will likely include:

• Demonstrating a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience
• Creating a welcoming experience by greeting guests
• Engaging with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs
• Making guests aware of current promotions, store activities, and events
• Being knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the total store
• Scanning and bagging all guest items efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with food safety standards and company best practices
• Understanding and showing guests how to use the features and offerings within the Target App including Wallet
• Being familiar with Order Pick-Up, Drive-Up, and online ordering
• Supporting guest services such as order pick up, Drive-Up Orders, and DU Returns
• Maintaining a clean, clutter-free work area
• Stocking supplies during store open hours while being available for the guest
• Demonstrating a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance
• Working in a safe manner at all times; complying with all safety policies, best practices, and training; reporting hazards and correcting where possible

• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
• Work both independently and with a team
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes

We expect you to:

• Accurately handle checkout operations, transactions, and support cash office operations as needed
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving product up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others
• Maintain a flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, and holidays); reliable and prompt attendance necessary
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary)
• Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.
