Cabinet PainterKitchen Tune-Up Grand Rapids is growing and seeking a skilled, dependable Cabinet Painter to join our team. You'll focus primarily on professional kitchen cabinet painting (including prep, priming, and flawless finishes on face frames, doors, and drawer fronts), along with trim work and occasional interior house painting. Bonus points if you bring additional skills in kitchen or bath remodeling—we love versatile team members who can contribute across projects! If you're detail-oriented, take pride in a job done right the first time, and are passionate about transforming spaces while exceeding customer expectations, this could be the uplifting opportunity you've been looking for.Key ResponsibilitiesPrep surfaces thoroughly (sanding, cleaning, masking, filling imperfections) to ensure a smooth, durable finishPrime, paint, and finish kitchen cabinets, doors, drawer fronts, trim, and related woodwork using high-quality products and techniquesHandle occasional interior house painting (walls, ceilings, trim) as needed on remodeling jobsFollow Kitchen Tune-Up's 5 Trustpoints on every project to deliver consistent, exceptional resultsArrive on time, work efficiently, and communicate daily progress with the project managerKeep the work area clean, organized, and safe—clean up thoroughly at the end of each dayProtect client homes (cover floors, counters, appliances, etc.) and interact professionally and friendly with customersSafely use painting tools/equipment (sprayers, brushes, rollers, sanders, etc.)Required QualificationsStellar work ethic and reliability—show up on time and ready to work every dayExcellent attention to detail and ability to follow directions preciselyProven experience in cabinet painting, fine finish work, or high-end residential paintingAbility to prep and paint for a factory-like, long-lasting finish (experience with cabinet-specific paints/coatings a big plus)Comfortable working in occupied homes with professionalism and respect for clients' spacesValid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites in Grand Rapids and surrounding areasAbility to safely lift/move materials and work on your feet for extended periodsPreferred Skills (Big Bonus If You Have These!)Experience in kitchen or bath remodeling (e.g., basic trim carpentry, minor repairs, installing hardware/roll-outs, drywall patching, or other finish work)Familiarity with spray painting systems for cabinetsKnowledge of color matching, stains, or specialty finishesPrevious work in cabinet refacing, redooring, or restoration projectsBenefits/PerksPerformance-based bonuses, ongoing training and coaching, opportunity to grow with a high-quality, reputable company, work in beautiful homes and communities, be part of a passionate team that values integrity and extraordinary customer experiences.About Kitchen Tune-Up Grand RapidsWe are a locally owned and operated kitchen remodeling company, proudly serving the greater Grand Rapids area (including East Grand Rapids, Forest Hills, Rockford, Ada, Belmont, and nearby communities).
