This position is part time 12-6:00 or full time 10:00-6:00 with more hours available when the children are off school. As an After School Teacher, you will help students plan classroom activities, help with mealtimes and clean up, and ensure a safe and clean classroom at all times. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supervises students during all activities Counsels students when social, academic, or adjustment problems arise Guides students in planning their classroom activities Ensures that the appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the classroom are appropriately maintained Helps children with meal times and clean-up Helps with homework, student accident reports, and attendance reports Attends and participates in staff meetings and school events Ensures that all classroom and outdoor equipment are in good working condition and are used and maintained properly Helps arrange the classroom into well-defined interest areas Maintains family information board and other classroom bulletin boards Communicates appropriate information to parents Ensures that classroom medication schedule is followed Qualifications: Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields Passionate about working with children Ability to build rapport with children Positive and patient demeanor Excellent verbal/written communication skills High School Diploma/Equivalent CPR/First Aid (can be fulfilled upon hire) Background Check and Fingerprints (can be fulfilled upon hire) We look to hire employees that are committed and looking for a long-term career opportunity.
