Job Description

Yard LoaderMartin Marietta is seeking a Yard Loader to join our team. The ideal individual will be safety conscious, dependable, and motivated. This individual will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a Yard Loader and maintaining the quality of product stockpiles. The Yard Loader operator will maintain safe working speeds and promote site safety by asserting leadership of truck drivers onsite.Location: Maiden Quarry, Maiden, North CarolinaHours: 7AM - 4PM, weekends as necessaryA typical day for a Yard Loader may include:Operating the yard loader within the company guidelines and safety standardsCompleting daily pre and post inspection of working areas and ensures they are equipped with adequate berms and roadwaysPerforming pre-shift safety inspection on equipment and reports needed repairs to the supervisorEnsuring safe operations around conveyors, surge piles and crushersPerforming daily preventative maintenance - tire pressure, oil, grease, diesel fuel, hoses for leaks and all moving parts for proper functionMaintaining the quality of product stockpilesMaintaining safe traffic flow throughout the siteOperating other equipment such as excavators and haul trucks in a safe manner as neededAiding in the training of co-workers as neededPerforming other duties as assigned by supervisorYou may be a good fit if you:Possess a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience to perform the responsibilities associated with this positionHave experience in the maintenance and operation of mobile equipment, construction equipment and/or equipment used processing plantsHave experience in the operation and maintenance of a front-end loader (preferred)Martin Marietta is an American-based company and a leading supplier of heavy building materials – including aggregates, cement, ready-mixed concrete and asphalt.
