Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care in a PCU / IMC / Med-Surg setting with an average census of 8 patients across a 12-bed unit with 4 additional ICU rooms
Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Heparin, Levo, Cardizem, Dobutamine, and vasopressors as appropriate to unit level
Read and interpret telemetry strips independently, as remote tele monitoring is supported by an off-site team
Participate in team nursing model alongside LPN staff, managing a combined patient load as assigned
May be asked to step into a Charge Nurse role on an as-needed basis
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation using Cerner EMR; adhere to all facility clock-in and clock-out requirements

Required Qualifications

Active RN license valid in the state of Wisconsin
Minimum 1 year of PCU or ICU experience (Med-Tele experience alone is not sufficient)
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
Proficiency with Cerner EMR is required
Ability to work every 3rd weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and 2 out of 3 holidays
Willingness to participate in low-census on-call rotation with a 45-minute response time

Preferred Experience / Skills

Prior travel nursing experience; first-time travelers are welcome to apply
Comfort floating to other areas such as the ED for tasking or holding patients, which reduces likelihood of low-census call
Experience with common diagnoses including pneumonia, COVID-19, and post-operative orthopedic cases
