Payroll Manager Responsible for overseeing the entire payroll function for the organization. Ensures accurate and timely payroll processing, maintains compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and drives continuous improvement of payroll processes. Leads a team of payroll professionals, provides strategic direction, and works closely with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations. Reports to the Payroll Director and is part of the Human Resources Operations team located in Brea, CA as a fully on‑site role. In This Role Manage and oversee the payroll team, providing leadership, guidance, and development to ensure efficient and accurate payroll processing. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices. Develop, implement, and maintain payroll policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Conduct regular audits of payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance. Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to ensure seamless integration of payroll data and systems. Lead payroll system upgrades, testing, and troubleshooting, and recommend improvements as needed. Monitor and analyze payroll metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with 9+ years experience or Master’s degree with 7+ years experience, with at least 3+ years in a managerial role. Experience in payroll processing. High comprehensive understanding of payroll practices, laws, and regulations. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Extensive experience with ADP, eTime and Workday. Preferred Experience System conversions. CPP Certificate. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary range for this role is $114,000.00 – $121,000.00. This role is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Benefits include paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
