Job Summary

We are seeking a Medical Assistant/Scribe to join our Infectious Diseases medical practice in Miami Shores. In this role, you will gather and document information about patients for their doctors’ visits. Responsibilities include printing lab reports, completing summaries of treatment sessions, charting doctor’s appointments, and operating electronic health records as well as assist with answering phones and coordinating patient care with all providers. We currently work with eClinical Works.  Great opportunity to learn about this fascinating specialty with top doctors in the field.

Responsibilities 

• Documenting patients’ visits by taking notes and entering them in eCW
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistent and comprehensive patient documentation
• Coordinate with doctors to complete and submit medical records
• Communicate professionally with patients, doctors, and healthcare staff
• Complete administrative tasks as requested 
• Work as a Medical Assistant to one of our physicians

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent
• Previous experience as a Medical Scribe or in a similar position
• Ability to take detailed notes and accurate documentation applying adequate medical terminology
• Strong computer and transcription skills
• Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality requirements
• Highly organized with excellent time-management skills
• Ability to work well under pressure
