Legal Assistant (Remote)

And we're looking for an Legal Assistant to start immediately!

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal correspondence in compliance with US, EU, AU, and UK laws.
• Manage and organise legal files, contracts, and case documentation in digital and physical formats.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with filing deadlines and legal requirements in multiple jurisdictions.
• Coordinate and liaise with external counsel and regulatory bodies as needed.
• Assist in the preparation of court documents, filings, and pleadings.
• Maintain accurate records of correspondence and legal activity for reporting purposes.
• Ad hoc tasks as needed to support the legal team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Management, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience as a legal assistant or in a similar role.
• Familiarity with US, EU, AU, and/or UK legal systems and regulations.
• Strong legal research and writing skills.
• Excellent English communication skills:
• Reading: High quality for legal documents.
• Writing: High quality for contracts and legal correspondence.
• Speaking: Neutral accent for effective communication with clients and legal teams.
• Proficient in legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and document management tools.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks with strict deadlines.
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Tech-savvy with knowledge of legal tech tools, cloud-based systems, and document automation software.

Technical Requirements:

• USB Headset with Noise Cancellation feature

• Main and backup computer: at least 1.8 GHz processor with at least 4GB RAM
• Main Internet Service Speed: at least 25 Mbps wired connection
• Backup Internet Service Speed: at least 10 Mbps

Schedule: US work hours (20-40 hours per week)
