This combination of industry and product groups enables the firm to deliver advice, strategies and capital with a universal banking approach to our target clients high growth, entrepreneurial, middle market companies.Job DescriptionOur Investment Banking Debt Advisory & Restructuring team is actively looking for an Associate for our New York office. The candidate will be working closely with senior members of the Debt Advisory & Restructuring Group to advise companies, creditors and other stakeholders in evaluating Strategic Alternatives, including Special Situations Financing, Liability Management, M&A and Restructuring.Responsibilities:Lead day-to-day transaction execution under direction of Managing DirectorsLead pitch drafting as well as transaction marketing documentsCoordinate and perform business due diligence and execute debt advisory and restructuring transactions, including direct client interaction and communicationConduct, review and oversee development of financial models, valuation analyses, researchBuild relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients, and professional advisorsSupport new business and marketing initiatives as appropriateTrain and mentor junior members on the teamPrepare client presentations, draft offering memoranda, prepare internal committee memoranda, prepare management and board presentations and other materials for senior bankers as requiredAssess industry research and trendsQualifications:Experience in investment banking, specifically the restructuring sectorDemonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysisExceptional communication skills and executive presence, both verbal and writtenElevated attention to detail and consistency in work productHigh degree of maturity, integrity, demonstrated leadership skills and work ethicSelf-starting team player who excels in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, challenging work environmentFINRA Registrations: SIE, 79, 63 licenses required at time of hiring or shortly thereafterCompensation:For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $170,000.00 - $190,000.00 at the time of this posting.
