Position Overview


The Center Staffing Services (TCSS) is seeking experienced Industrial Painters / Powder Coat Technicians to support production operations within a precision manufacturing environment producing industrial electrical equipment and fabricated metal assemblies.


This position is responsible for performing wet painting and powder coating operations on fabricated sheet metal components ranging from 16-gauge to 7-gauge materials. Candidates will prepare parts, apply coatings, and ensure finished products meet required paint specifications, durability standards, and quality requirements .


This role is ideal for individuals with experience in industrial painting, powder coating, metal finishing, or manufacturing production environments.

Key Responsibilities
• Perform all work in accordance with workplace safety procedures and maintain a strong Safety First mindset.
• Prepare fabricated metal components for coating by hanging, washing, etching, and drying parts prior to paint application.
• Apply wet paint and powder coatings to sheet metal components according to production specifications.
• Stage completed parts by production zone and label components according to shop drawings and work instructions .
• Clean and maintain spray guns, powder coating systems, and related equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Inspect coated parts to ensure proper finish quality, coverage, and consistency .
• Maintain a clean and organized work area including paint equipment, tools, and surrounding production space.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience with industrial painting, powder coating, HVLP spray systems, or metal finishing preferred
• Experience working in manufacturing or fabrication environments strongly preferred
• Ability to follow shop drawings, production instructions, and coating specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Ability to work safely within an industrial manufacturing environment

Work Environment


This role operates within a manufacturing facility supporting the production of electrical equipment and fabricated metal assemblies . Employees should be comfortable working around industrial equipment, production lines, and coating systems while maintaining safety and quality standards.
