The Facility Designer I is an essential, valued member of the HDR O&M Facilities Design staff directly responsible for developing a major portion of our project deliverables. This person is self-motivated, creative, and innovative, with the ability to be a team player in an international, employee-owned A/E firm.As a Facility Designer I, you will be responsible for:Facility programming, report writing, site master planning, developing specifications and construction documentsSelection, coordination and layout of various aspects of design (vehicle maintenance equipment, site flow, etc.)Creating / using Building Information Modeling (BIM) to complete different levels of documentsSubmittal, shop drawing, and RFI reviewConduct construction field observationsOther design / engineering tasks as assignedPreferred Qualifications:Experience in industrial design, facility planning, equipment layout, or workflow analysis is preferred but will consider entry level candidates with 4-year degree and strong BIM skillsStrong organizational and time management skills with ability to effectively work on multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to effectively interact with and present to clientExceptional level of accuracy and detailLocal candidates preferred#LI-AG2QualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in architecture, industrial design or relatedCommand of Revit and AutoCAD, and knowledge of SketchUp Command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project) Working knowledge of LOD 300 requirements What We BelieveHDR is our company.
