The Woodbury, Long Island office of Kaufman Dolowich, a full-service National Law firm with more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas, is actively seeking an attorney to join our growing Labor and Employment practice group.Our Employment Practice Group represents employers in complex and high-profile employment matters across a broad range of industries. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation, research, writing, and advocacy skills, with experience independently managing sophisticated employment matters through all phases of litigation.ResponsibilitiesManage a litigation caseload from inception through resolutionDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and other litigation-related documentsCommunicate directly with clients and provide strategic guidance and regular case updatesTake and defend depositions and participate in mediations and settlement negotiationsParticipate in investigations, court appearances, motion practice, hearings, and trialsCollaborate closely with attorneys across offices and practice groups on complex employment mattersQualifications2+ years of employment litigation experienceJD from an accredited law school with strong academic credentialsAdmission to practice in New York requiredLaw Review and/or Moot Court experience preferredExceptional writing, research, analytical, and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation environmentPreferred ExperienceEmployment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wage & hour litigationFederal and state wage & hour matters, including collective and class actionsTraditional labor and employment law mattersInvestigations before the U.S. Department of Labor, New York State Department of Labor, EEOC, and state and local human rights agenciesWhy Join Kaufman Dolowich?Collaborative and entrepreneurial culture with strong mentorship and supportSignificant opportunities for professional growth, client development, and advancementUnlimited PTO for AttorneysCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits packageRobust discretionary and billable-based bonus opportunitiesMeaningful clients contact and hands-on litigation experienceBase Salary Range: $115,000-$160,000Please note that the stated salary range is an estimate and does not guarantee a specific offer.
