Educational Leadership Position – Private K–8 School

Location: Greater St. Charles Area, Missouri
School: Private K–8 School
Starting Salary: $75,000 annually
Work Location: In person

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated  educational leader to join our private K–8 school community in the Greater St. Charles Area.

This is an exciting opportunity for an education professional who is passionate about academic excellence, student development, strong school culture, and building meaningful relationships with students, families, and educators.

The ideal candidate will have  experience in a successful private school and understand the unique culture, expectations, and opportunities of private education. We are looking for someone who can contribute to the continued strength and growth of our school community.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support across academic programs and school operations.
• Support the development and implementation of curriculum and instructional programs.
• Work closely with teachers to promote professional growth and high instructional standards.
• Foster a positive, structured, engaging, and supportive school environment.
• Support student behavior and discipline with consistency, professionalism, and sound judgment.
• Build strong and positive relationships with students, families, teachers, and staff.
• Help oversee effective day-to-day school operations.
• Support enrollment, school growth, and community development initiatives.
• Contribute to strategic planning and continuous school improvement.
• Promote a school culture centered on academic excellence, character development, and student success.
• Serve as a visible and engaged leader within the school community.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership or administrative experience in a private school strongly preferred.
• Experience working in a  successful, established, and growing private school environment .
• Experience in an educational leadership role such as Head of School, Principal, Assistant Principal, Dean, Director, or similar position.
• Strong understanding of private-school culture, academics, and family engagement.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, support, and develop teachers and staff.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong judgment, professionalism, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to build trust and maintain positive relationships with families and staff.
• Passion for helping students succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
• Ability to lead with integrity, confidence, vision, and enthusiasm.
• Familiarity with  Dimensions Math, Core Knowledge Curriculum, and Literacy Essentials Curriculum is a plus.
