Job Description

Location: South Neighborhood (Wonders Hall)
Starting Pay Rate : $17

As a Business Office Assistant and Receptionist, you will aid staff members in Culinary Services South Neighborhood in essential departmental operations, including, but not limited to assisting in onboarding new team members, celebrating current team members, assisting in operational compliance tasks, assisting in operational meetings, promotions and trainings. In addition, you will assist with creating and maintaining schedules for student and on-call staff. You will be responsible for keeping the entire office running smoothly through a wide variety of tasks. It is often your job to be the face of the organization while interacting with a wide range of customers and clients.

Required Qualifications
• Be enrolled as a student at Michigan State University (during academic year)
• Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service
• Must be a motivated self-starter and able to complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision
• Good communication skills (written and verbal) and be positive and respectful, especially when working with a diverse population
• Must be dependable and reliable
• Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
• Must be proficient in numerical skills
