High School Biology and/or Chemistry Teacher Our Lady Seat of Wisdom, a Chesterton Academy is a joyfully Catholic classical high school in north metro Denver which exists to be a joyful haven where students grow in wisdom and encounter our Lord Jesus Christ for the glory of God and the salvation of souls. We educate students in the Western civilization tradition and the liberal arts and sciences. We are seeking a talented and dynamic part-time Biology and Chemistry teacher to join our team whose love of their subject is matched by their love of teaching and forming high school students in the Catholic faith. Proficiency in Biology and/or Chemistry is required with previous experience teaching. Three to five years of teaching experience is preferred, as well as demonstration of excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills with experience in and passion for Catholic classical education. The candidate must be a practicing Catholic and willing to take the Oath of Fidelity to the Magisterium. Candidates must be pursuing their own spiritual development and living in a manner that provides a good example of a Catholic life. Candidates must actively support the mission and vision of the Chesterton Academies. The candidate should possess teaching ability, content excellence, classroom management skills, and the capacity to take on extra-curricular duties, clubs, mentorship in the Houses System (the House system is designed to promote character and virtue and to help students grow in holiness), and other duties as assigned. Part-time faculty members are required to attend daily Mass with the entire student body and participate in spiritual retreats or other school activities as much as possible.
